Changing Default First Approver
Use the following steps to change your default first approver for the requisition on which you are currently working on. You can either ‘Insert Approver’ or ‘Change Managerial Approver’ from the "Manage Approvals" screen.
During the Checkout Process, on the ‘Checkout: Approvals and Notes’ screen; click the "Manage Approvals" button:
FOR REQUISITIONER ONLY USERS:
- ‘Insert Approver’ allows you to insert an approver either before or after your current Default Approver
- ‘Change Managerial Approver’ will temporarily change your current Default Approver
FOR PO MANAGER USERS:
- ‘Insert Approver’ will only allow you to insert an approver before your current Default Approver
- ‘Change Managerial Approver’ will temporarily change your current Default Approver
During the Checkout Process, on the ‘Checkout: Approvals and Notes’ screen; click the "Manage Approvals" button:
To 'Insert Approver'
- In the ‘Actions’ section, the default action is ‘Insert Approver’
- In the ‘Approver’ field, enter the additional approver’s name (i.e. LAST, FIRST%) and tab OR click on the search icon and select the name from the results
- Approver Position (REQ only), choose Before or After your current Default Approver (Current Default Approver’s Name will be visible)
- PO Manager will not see current Default Approver’s Name
- Confirm the individual’s name appears, click the [Submit] button
To ‘Change Default Approver’
- In the ‘Actions’ section, click ‘Change Managerial Approver’
- Current Managerial Approver’s Name will be displayed for REQ only users
- In the ‘New Managerial Approver’ field, enter the individual’s name (i.e. LAST, FIRST%) and tab OR click on the search icon and select the name from the results
- Confirm the individual’s name appears, click the [Submit] button
To proceed through the checkout process, click the “Next” button
