File Deletion Instructions
Perform both the following actions:
- Use your operating system’s drive-searching utility (e.g., Windows Explorer on Windows, Spotlight or Find on Mac) to search for files:
- With the “.pdf” extension, and
- Containing the statement year (e.g., “2005”) in the file name
Delete any tax statements you locate.
- Clear your web browser’s cache:
- Firefox for Windows:
Choose “Preferences” from the Tools menu.
Open the “Privacy” panel, then click the “Cache” tab.
Click the “Clear Cache Now” button.
- Internet Explorer for Windows:
Choose “Internet Options” from the Tools menu.
In the “General” tab, click the “Delete Files” button, then click “OK”.
- Safari for Mac:
Choose “Empty Cache” from the Safari menu, then click “Empty”.
- Firefox for Mac:
Choose “Preferences” from the Firefox menu.
Open the “Privacy” panel, then click the “Cache” tab.
Click the “Clear Cache Now” button.
Accessing your tax statements online is strictly optional; all University employees will receive a copy of their 2005 tax statements via U.S. Mail.
