The mission of the Division of Finance’s Financial
Training Department is to ensure that faculty and staff are
trained to manage University resources effectively and efficiently
to achieve the strategic goals of the The Penn Compact.
Financial training provides faculty and staff with the opportunity
to acquire the tools and skills to fulfill their financial
responsibilities accurately and efficiently. Offerings are
designed to train University faculty and staff who work with
financial systems and provide training in administrative information
systems, including electronic forms and documents, as well
as providing an understanding of and appreciation for fiscal
The entire process is designed to improve University-wide
knowledge of fiscal controls and increase financial management
expertise with the objective of achieving consistency and
compliance with policies and regulations.
