FAQ 05:
I've received a completed Medical Evaluation form that indicates that the injured employee may return to work with certain restrictions. How do I make these arrangements? What else do I need to do?
In some cases an employee may be advised that they may return to work with specific restrictions. Examples might include weight restrictions in regards to lifting, or prohibitions against certain activities.
If your office is able to make the requested accommodations for a given individual, be sure that their workload is adjusted accordingly.
- Be sure to forward a copy of the Medical Evaluation form to the Office of Risk Management and Insurance.
- In this case, no changes need to be made to the employee's payroll record.
- Follow-up medical treatment will be required to monitor restrictions. Any change in status will require an updated Medical Evaluation form.
