[ Investment Services ]
The Investment Services unit is comprised by the Internal Finance, Investment Accounting and
Trust Administration functions. Investment Services provides administrative services for the University's
external and internal investments.
Internal Finance manages internal capital project certifications and internal loans. The lease administration
functions, previously managed in the Office of the Treasurer have moved to the Office of Facilities & Real Estate Services.
Investment Accounting is responsible for accounting for the University's investments. Its functions include: daily
cash reconciliation with custodian banks; monthly updating of the University's accounting systems; monthly reconciliation
of cash and investments between the University accounting system and custodial bank records; monthly evaluation of Associated
Investment Funds (AIF); monthly preparation of final statements for investments and monthly posting of AIF income to
appropriate funds. Trust Administration functions to support internal endowments, trusts and other funds as well
as external trust and works closely with Investment Accounting.
