Temporary credit may be issued to students awaiting receipt of external loans, financial aid, and other funds from external sources and faculty/staff benefits.
The Office of Student Registration & Financial Services is authorized to grant and administer temporary credit for student charges. In cases where an award is determined, but a student has outstanding requirements needed to complete the award, a ‘memo’ for the amount of the award will be placed on the student account. In cases where an award is determined, the student has completed all requirements, but the disbursement is scheduled at a later date, an ‘authorization’ is placed on the student account. Both memos and authorizations reduced the outstanding balance due on the student account and will be reflected on the student’s monthly billing statement.
Temporary credit granted to students awaiting financial assistance may not exceed the amount of the expected funding.
Temporary credit granted to students shall expire in accordance with the schedule as determined by Student Registration & Financial Services.
Schools and centers may request Student Registration & Financial Services apply temporary credit for pending financial resources in special circumstances.
