The University uses a lockbox in the collection and processing of certain contributions from donors. A lockbox benefits the University by improving controls over receipts, and enables the University to receive proceeds as soon as checks are processed in the lockbox. The lockbox provider bank captures data (donor identification, fund number, etc.) from a properly formatted pledge card.
All Pledge Cards must be scannable documents which have been tested and approved by Gifts Accounting, Administration & Records and by the banking institution.
