Procurement Services
Procurement Services is responsible for managing efforts to identify, engage, and promote qualified local and diversity suppliers for business with University.
Procurement Services undertakes continuing efforts to optimize purchasing volume with qualified diversity and local community businesses. The head of Procurement Services is responsible for developing annual goals for spend diversity and local community businesses. Procurement Services is also responsible for supporting Schools’ and Centers’ localized goals to advance spend with diversity and local community businesses.
Procurement Services is responsible for working with community business partners and School/Center representatives to locate and qualify diversity and local community businesses that are capable of supplying the products and services required by the University.
Procurement Services is responsible for assisting diversity and local community businesses in understanding the procurement process of the University. University departments are required, whenever possible, to solicit product information, pricing proposals and competitive bids from diversity and local community businesses. University buyers should make every effort to include local and diversity suppliers in departmental procurement opportunities.
