Policy

  1. A staff member is entitled to a retroactive payment if the effective date of a compensation change precedes the beginning of the current pay period.  

  2. Retroactive payments will only be made with the proper authorization from the Division of Human Resources/Compensation. 

  3. Payment for retroactive compensation changes will be made in the regularly-scheduled payroll cycle, following the approval of the compensation change by all assigned security roles in the approval hierarchy (e.g., HR Analyst, HR Partner, Compensation Partner, Budget Partner) in Workday.
