Individuals driving an owned, leased, rented or personal vehicle for University and Penn Medicine business purposes are required to:
Must have a permanent, and valid, United States driver’s license.
International driver licenses are not acceptable.
Comply with all local, state, and federal laws.
Observe the University’s restriction of the rental of 15-passenger vans for any purpose.
For information about permissible rental vehicles refer to the Travel and Entertainment policy 2357 for details.
Successfully complete the applicable Driver Safety Courses via Workday Learning (University) and Knowledge Link (Penn Medicine).
Recertification of the driver safety courses are required every 3 years.
Recertification of the driver safety courses are required immediately following an accident.
