In the event you become injured while participating in a Penn–sponsored sports club or intramural activity, there is a policy in place that is designed to provide certain benefits for covered injuries.
The University purchases a Club & Intramural Sports Catastrophic Accident policy with an A+ rated commercial insurance company. The insurance is excess over any other valid and collectible insurance program or similar benefit program available to the insured person(s). The limit insurance is $5,000,000 per injury and is subject to a $50,000 deductible. Eligible medical expenses under any other insurance policy will go to satisfy the deductible. The policy has a 10–year benefit period.
