Federal Form W-2 is a wage and tax statement that reports employment income and withholding and may be needed for individuals to prepare their individual income tax return. The University of Pennsylvania is required by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to furnish W-2 forms to all employees on or before January 31 each year.

Accessing your W-2
Employees are strongly encouraged to elect to receive their W-2 electronically. Consult the tip sheet Access to W-2, W-4, and State Reciprocal Forms for written step-by-step instructions or view a two-minute self-service video demonstration.
Beginning for calendar year 2019, your Form W-2 is available in Workday. However, the Control Number needed to upload your tax information into your tax software is only available on the ADP version of your W-2.
The ADP version of your W-2, as well as W-2s for years 2018 and prior, can be found in the following locations:
- To view your ADP tax information for the years 2017, 2018, and 2019, please go to this U@Penn application. The secure link will take you to ADP W-2 Services.
