To establish policy for the payment of additional pay (other than job-related overtime for collective bargaining unit employees and staff members on Hourly Compensation Plans) to employees on Hourly and Salary Compensation Plans who are completing work that is outside the scope of their primary job profile and they would not normally be expected to undertake those responsibilities. 

To define departmental scope and responsibility.

To identify potential risk to the University in a timely manner.

To notify the Office of Risk Management & Insurance of any actual or potential third party claim against the University.

To provide a framework for third party property loss reimbursement.

The Office of Risk Management & Insurance handles all professional liability claims not handled by the Office of General Counsel. The purpose of this policy is to maintain the confidentiality of patient information and to control the dissemination of records for such claims.

To provide a framework for University operating unit property loss reimbursement.

Automobile claims handling of property damage or bodily injury when operating a vehicle for University or Penn Medicine business purposes.

To define the driver requirements for operating a vehicle on behalf of the University and Penn Medicine.
