The Applications Group manages Penn's financial applications, BEN Financials, in order to support timely and meaningful
financial transaction entry and reporting. We facilitate compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, regulatory
requirements, and with Penn policies and procedures by enforcing adequate controls within the application systems. We work closely
with business owners in the Comptroller's Office, Purchasing Services, School and Centers, and Information Services and Computing (ISC)
to ensure that Penn's financial systems meet the University's needs.

The ITS staff is dedicated to providing you with an efficient, easy to use, and completely interactive means of registering
and reviewing active technical and support requests. It is a way for you to reach us, and a channel for us to reach you.
With Footprints Help Desk software, users (that’s you) can closely monitor your Service Desk requests.

Winter Break Support
In observance of The University’s winter break, The ITS help desk will be operating on a modified schedule between Monday, December 29, 2014 to Wednesday, December 31, 2014. For those clients who will be working during the winter break, we will have a technician on-site each business day identified below. If you are conducting University business during the winter break and require the assistance of the ITS help desk, please submit tickets at https://footprints.finance.upenn.edu:44304/. If it is an urgent issue, please contact the Help Desk phone line at 215-898-HLPU (4578) (Note: If you receive voicemail at 8-HLPU, please leave a voicemail message and the tech on-site will be notified of the voicemail)

The technician on call will be available on-site except for a lunch break from 12:00noon to 1:00pm. All calls will be handled in Footprints on a first in, first out basis.
For those wishing to work from home during the winter recess, our Remote Access server will be available 24/7. We recommend that all remote users test your remote connection by Monday, December 22, 2014. Please note that we have a limited number of loaner laptops available. Please be advised that remote access connections are dropped after 1 (one) hour of inactivity or 9 (nine) total hours of connected time.

How the ITS Service Center Works
Using Footprints Help Desk software, users can create and review Service Request issues. Uncomplicated
menus will guide you directly to areas appropriate to your needs.
Footprints will process your request, email you a written confirmation (if desired), and explain how you can check on its status.
