Overview
Gifts Accounting, Administration, & Records is responsible for the timely and accurate recording, depositing, and accounting of all donations and commitments in support of Penn. In addition to accounting for gifts at the time of a commitment, Gifts has ongoing responsibility to monitor the gift payment flows and to provide management information on gifts to representatives of both the Finance and Development offices.
The team receives cash gifts via check, credit card, ACH/wire transfer, lockbox, and in-kind, and is responsible for ensuring that all methods of giving are efficient and in compliance with our fiduciary duties. The Securities Gifts Accounting team is also responsible for daily obligations involving the acceptance, retention, and liquidation or security gifts donated to Penn.
Gifts Accounting, Administration, & Records serves as a liaison between Development and School/Center representatives in processing gifts, commitments, and advanced transmittal training.
